Thermal Shield for Weber DCOE Carburettors

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our own heat shield made for Weber DCOE and DCO/SP carburettor series.

On non-crossflow engines, the carburettors sit directly above the exhaust manifold and, as exhaust heat builds up, it can cause problems with fuel handling in side-draught carburettors. This is something we are finding is becoming an increasing problem with rising ethanol levels in modern fuels, and it is something likely only to get worse.

The new Weber Heat Shield helps relieve these problems by deflecting heat away from the carburettor, while also providing an insulating air layer between the shield and the carburettor base.

The new Heat Shield is superbly made from 1.6 mm stainless steel to distinguish it clearly from the thinner, less effective copies on the market.
