Engine block Morgan 4/4 1970-1982
The legendary Formula Ford Kent block has been remanufactured by Ford using a completely new grey iron casting that is stronger than the original.
Specifications include:
- Standard deck height of 8.200” with extra material allowing decking if required
- Semi-finished cylinder bores of 3.186” to allow the engine to be built with the desired clearances
- Lifter bore diameter .565”
- 40,000 PSI grey cast iron block
- Reinforced lower bellhousing bolt bosses
- Selected areas around the main support webs strengthened
- The centre main is machined to accept upper and lower crankshaft thrust washers (SOHC Pinto type)
- Includes cam bearings
